Privacy Policy
PACEtree LLC collects as little personal information as possible. This page explains what that means for this website and for the software we publish.
This website
We set no cookies and run no analytics. pace-tree.com is a set of static pages. It does not track visitors, does not build profiles, does not embed advertising or social media trackers, and does not share information about visitors with anyone.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives the requests your browser makes and may log technical information such as IP addresses in order to operate and protect the service. That logging is GitHub's, not ours — we do not receive it, and we have no access to it. GitHub describes its practices in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
If you email us
When you write to us, we receive your message, your email address, and whatever else you choose to include. We use it to respond to you and to carry out any work that follows from it. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add it to a marketing list. We retain correspondence for as long as it is relevant to our business relationship or as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Our software
Our iOS software collects no personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics or telemetry, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party tracking libraries. Nothing about how you use the software is transmitted to us, because nothing is collected in the first place. Any data the software creates — game progress, settings — stays on your device.
We do not receive information from Apple about individual users. Apple provides developers with aggregate sales and usage statistics that do not identify anyone.
Planned network play
A future version may offer optional multiplayer over a network. If it does, it is expected to use Apple's Game Center rather than any account system of ours, so that player identity is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and no account is ever created with us. That feature does not exist yet. This policy will be updated before any such version is released, and multiplayer will be optional.
Children
Our software collects no personal information from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website either.
Your rights
Because we collect so little, there is usually nothing to request. If you have corresponded with us and want to know what we hold, or want it deleted, write to contact@pace-tree.com and we will handle it. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; we honor those requests at the same address. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under that law.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting software already released will be reflected before the change takes effect.
